| Customer Reviews: Shimano Sedona Series June 13, 2010 Kyle Kleinpeter (Abilene, TX) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Received product undamaged and in a very timely manner. I choose this reel based on Shimano's reputation and price. Generally a reel under $25 is not worth your effort and a reel over $75 is out of my price range. I have not been disappointed. The reel functions well and is very smooth all around with a 5 bearing system. I searched several stores before coming to amazon to get a feel for reels. I found the Sedona 1000, 2500, and 4000 all at the same price, so this was a no brainer when they are all marked at different prices in a retail store.

I fish both fresh and salt. Years ago I learned that no brand compares to the drag system and reliability of Shimano spinning reels in the harsh saltwater environment. I am slowly replacing all of my freshwater and the Sedona offers a great balance of features and quality of the money.
